As we welcome a new year, it is with immense gratitude and emotion that I look back and reflect on all the events of 2023 that irreversibly marked our history. For the ADA Group, it was a year of resilience, built on the solid values that my father, Luís Andrade, always passed on to us.

It was a year marked by challenges that brought us even closer together as a family in the face of adversity. The loss of our esteemed leader was one of the greatest trials we faced. However, his teachings echoed in every step we took, reinforcing the message that the ADA Group is a true family – a message that is and will forever be engraved in our hearts.

In the midst of all the difficulties and challenges, we found the strength and determination to follow the path already mapped out by our guide. Humility, unity and teamwork – values he always defended – were fundamental and guiding pillars.

Throughout this journey, we not only overcame obstacles, but also reached new heights of excellence. The perseverance of our team at Albino Dias de Andrade, S.A. has been inspiring, and we have endeavoured to ensure that our medical products continue to make a difference in healthcare, just as he always wanted.

ADA FIOS, S.A., has produced the best figures since it was founded, consolidating its position as the exclusive European leader in hospital gauze. This achievement is a reflection of our unwavering commitment to quality and innovation, the basic and structuring values of our history. More recently, it has also become a producer of non-woven fabric – ADA Non Woven – with this new industrial unit standing out for being the only one in Europe specialising in the production of this fabric for medical purposes.

ADATEC, a company that plays a fundamental role in the group, focussed on developing industrial machinery and new technologies, has surpassed the expected results, reaching a new level thanks to its tireless dedication and relentless pursuit of technological advances.

But more than the business achievements, it was the people who made all these results possible. I am deeply grateful to every member of this family, whose commitment has been vital to every achievement and overcoming.

We move on to 2024 with the same hope, with the same desire to embrace new projects and challenges, but above all, with the same values.

To everyone who has been and is part of this journey, my sincerest thanks. Together, we are capable of achieving the extraordinary. With my father’s values at heart, we will move towards a bright future, united and therefore always strong.
